Mexican Dish
This easy-to-make Mexican style casserole is a hearty and flavorful dish that's perfect for a weeknight dinner. It combines ground beef, taco sauce, cream of chicken soup, and enchilada sauce for a rich and savory flavor. The casserole is topped with shredded cheese and baked to perfection.
- 1 to 2 lbs hamburger
- 1 8 oz bottle of taco sauce
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 12 soft taco shells
- 1-10 oz can enchilada sauce
- Shredded cheese for topping
Brown the Beef: Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess grease. Combine Ingredients:Return the beef to the skillet. Stir in the taco sauce, cream of chicken soup, and enchilada sauce. Bring to a simmer and cook for 15-30 minutes, or until thickened. Assemble the Casserole:Preheat your oven to 350°F . Tear the taco shells into bite-sized pieces. Spread the shell pieces evenly in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the meat mixture over the shells. Top with shredded cheese.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- For a spicier dish, use a hotter variety of taco sauce or add some diced jalapeños.
- If you prefer a creamier casserole, you can add a can of evaporated milk to the meat mixture.
